Crestline Announces Lumbermens Merchandising Deal

Date: 20 June 2003

Crestline Windows & Doors announced today that Lumbermens Merchandising Corporation (LMC) will begin offering Crestline windows and doors to its 300 independent lumber dealers that service 1,000 yards in 44 states.

LMC is a purchasing and merchandising organization that negotiates vendor programs and purchases products for their independent dealers. Headquartered in Wayne, Pa., LMC was founded in 1935 and has annual sales in excess of $2 billion.

"More dealers will have easy access to Crestline products because of our relationship with LMC," said Mike Farris, vice president of sales for Crestline. "And dealers will be able to enjoy the benefits of their LMC affiliation with the purchase of Crestline windows and doors. Builders will be able to spec Crestline products while maintaining loyalty to their lumberyard serviced by LMC."

According to Ralph Pfeiffer, Crestline brand manager, Crestline products are designed and marketed with builders in mind.

"Crestline offers a wide selection of products, from entry-level vinyl windows to a vinyl exterior/wood interior line and Crestline Select, a high quality aluminum clad wood window," he said. "Builders will find the right product, for the right price, for every project. Now our products will be more accessible to builders."

LMC offers lumber and panel products, millwork, hardware and other building material products. LMC chose Crestline because of the breadth of the Crestline product offering available to its dealers on a national basis.

"Our dealer contacts were asking us for more choices in windows and doors," said a source within LMC's Millwork Department. "Crestline Windows and Doors helped round out our offering with window and patio door product lines that meet every need and every price point."
