Completion of the Acquisition of Anchor Glass by Ardagh Group

Ardagh Group is pleased to announce that it has received US regulatory approval and completed the acquisition of the US-based Anchor Glass Container Corporation from private investment funds managed by Wayzata Investment Partners LLC in a transaction involving a total cash consideration of $880 million (€721 million).Anchor, which is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, is a technologically advanced manufacturer of glass containers serving the North American food and beverage industries.

Anchor is the third largest glass container manufacturer in the US. It produces approximately 5.6 billion containers annually from its eight facilities, employs approximately 2,700 people and has annual revenues of approximately US $800 million (€656 million).

Ardagh Group is a global leader in rigid packaging, producing metal and glass packaging solutions for most of the world's leading food, beverage and consumer product brands. It operates 100 manufacturing plants in 25 countries, employs approximately 17,700 people and has global sales in excess of Eur 4.1 billion.
