Andreas Kriegler was appointed new Head of Business Unit Photovoltaics.Robert Bürkle GmbH, Freudenstadt, has attracted an experienced expert for the solar business: Andreas Kriegler.

The engineer from Herrenberg will be head of the business unit Photovoltaics from September 2011 and will be the third managing director of the line manufacturer in a row with Ralf Spindler and Hans-Joachim Bender.



Kriegler will be responsible for development, project planning and sales of photovoltaic laminators for the entire company. Among others, the 44-year-old is reported to be an expert of the solar industry since he has worked for the Freiberg automation experts teamtechnik for 12 years. First, he worked as a product manager, in 2003 he was designated managing director of the producing US branch.



After his training as an industrial mechanic and his studies of mechanical engineering in Reutlingen and Canada, he gained professional experience as a development and sales engineer as well as a product manager in the line engineering for the automotive industry, the medical technology and for the solar industry.



Besides laminators and back ends for the PV industry, Robert Bürkle GmbH supplies – among others – lines for the manufacture and upgrading of doors, parquet, derived timber boards and furniture boards as well as for circuit boards and plastic cards. The company currently employs 740 staff members worldwide on locations in Freudenstadt, Mastholte, Paderborn, in the USA and in China. Bürkle is a system supplier in the press and surface technology sector and is said to be one of the technology and world market leaders in the photovoltaic sector.
