Bob Miller Named Vice President of Operations for Abrisa Technologies

Santa Paula, CA – We are pleased to announce that Mr. Bob Miller has joined Abrisa Technologies as Vice President of Operations effective October 15, 2012.

Abrisa Technologies provides integrated optical solutions including precision glass fabrication and high efficiency optical coatings for the display and imaging, optoelectronics, lighting and entertainment, aerospace and defense, and general industrial markets.Mr.Miller “Bob” comes to Abrisa Technologies with very distinguished credentials, including extensive supply chain management, manufacturing, and materials management expertise in the high-tech manufacturing arena. His career includes operational management positions with CVI Melles Griot, Advanced Bionics, Coherent, Inc., Portable Energy Products, Siemens Corp. and Harris Microwave to name but a few. With a B.S. Degree in Physics from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California, Bob possesses the perfect hands on experience and educational mix to upgrade and enhance the operational capabilities of the company.

Bob will have operations responsibility for both our custom glass fabrication facility; Abrisa Industrial Glass (AIG) located in Santa Paula, California as well as our precision thin film optical coating facility; ZC&R Coatings for Optics (ZC&R) located in Torrance, California.

Bob’s brings to Abrisa Technologies a depth of knowledge and broad set of capabilities including capacity planning, line management, material flow, contract manufacturing, lean manufacturing, purchasing, process improvement, and database management. Add to that a Six-Sigma Black Belt and he’s just the right individual to take the Abrisa Technologies Team to a new level of excellence; ready to compete not just in North America, but globally as well.
