A year ago, Basco Corp.’s acquisition of Addis Glass in West Chester seemed to fit both companies’ needs.

Basco, a manufacturer of custom shower doors and enclosures based in Mason, wanted a secure supply of tempered safety glass. Addis, a glass fabricator that had supplied Basco for years, was ready to sell after orders from nearby BAE Systems, its main customer, dried up.
