Date: 11 December 2014

At the recent Sheffield Business Awards held on 4th December, we were delighted to win the Skills, Development and Apprenticeship Award sponsored by The Sheffield College.

Held at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, more than 800 business people from across the Sheffield City region attended the event.Organised by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and the Sheffield Star, the Business Awards are a commitment to supporting businesses in Sheffield whatever their size.

The awards are designed to recognise and reward Sheffield business success with categories including Business Person of the Year, Design and Innovation Award, Excellence in Manufacturing and The Next Big Thing Award.

We were delighted to win our category for the work of The Glass Academy over the last year in upskilling the glass industry workforce, creating new training materials and increasing apprenticeships within the industry, demonstrating the importance of lifelong workplace learning.

Congratulations to all of the other winners and to the organisers for a fantastic evening, we hope to enter the awards again next year.
