Reuters.com reported that glass product maker Apogee Enterprises Inc. (APOG.O: Quote, Profile , Research) on Wednesday posted higher quarterly earnings, helped by a 24 percent revenue gain in its architectural business.





The company also boosted its fiscal 2007 earnings forecast, and its shares rose nearly 6 percent in extended trade.



Third-quarter net earnings rose to $9.9 million, or 35 cents per share, from $9.0 million, or 32 cents per share, a year ago. Net sales rose 18 percent to $209.8 million.



The company said revenue in its architectural products and services unit rose 24 percent to $182 million with all parts of the business contributing to growth.
