The topic of the presentation will be “What’s Happening in Optical Coatings.”Sponsored by the Southern California Chapter of the American Vacuum Society (AVS), the event will be held at ZC&R’s Torrance facility located at 1401 Abalone Avenue.The evening’s events will begin at 6:00 pm with a reception and dinner, followed by the presentation by Dr. Macleod at 7:00 pm with a tour of the ZC&R facility commencing at 8:00 pm.
The ever-increasing volume of advances in optics constantly brings newer and greater challenges to the optical coatings provider making it especially necessary to continue to progress and educate in the general area of thin films.
The presentation to be given by Dr. Macleod will cover the current state of the art in optical coatings including technology, materials and applications.
