American Glass Research started 2014 with its first-ever open enrollment seminar in Asia. The seminar, Testing and Fracture Diagnosis of Glass Bottles, was presented by senior Agr instructor Bill Slusser, and held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Over 20 participants from 10 different companies joined the seminar from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Thailand.During the three-day seminar, participants were provided instruction via presentations, discussions and hands-on workshops.The main focus of the seminar was to provide the participants with the appropriate fracture diagnosis techniques needed to solve glass breakage and other performance problems.  The content covered general principals of fracture diagnosis along with identification of factors affecting glass strength, stress types and fracture patterns.

American Glass Research has scheduled several open enrollment seminars at its facility in Butler, PA, USA as well as at locations in Munich, Germany and Krakow, Poland. In-plant seminars are also available for company-specific instruction.
