To get a faster and more efficient quality control for glass and IG units, Softsolution has developed digital scanning equipment which provides perfect results for quality assurance in manufacturing plants.

Waidhofen/Ybbs - AUSTRIA, LineScanner creator Softsolution GmbH based in Waidhofen an der Ybbs, Austria, two hours west of Vienna, has currently more than 100 systems installed. Many of them are in operation in Germany. With the latest development – the so called EyeGuide© - quality assurance is even faster and more efficient again.

The latest invention from Softsolution is additional equipment to display quality, production and text information directly on the glass or IG unit in real measures.  EyeGuide© can also be used as an integrated feature after single glass inspection at any point.

Recently the Softsolution R&D department followed the task to increase the ease of use how to display important production information (e.g. exact defect position or position of Georgian bars, stepped unit details, gas filling information, equalizing valve position, coating side, logo location, etc.) additionally to the monitor display software directly on IG units.

Advantages:

  • Displays product and defect details directly on the glass to support the operator additionally to the monitor display software

  • displaying all details in real measure (true scale)

  • saves time of the operator which increases cycle times and quality

A managing director of a big Austrian window manufacturer explained recently: "We have decided in 2010 to buy IG units only from companies who use an automatic quality assurance system. Many other window manufacturers will follow that path in the near future."
