Rotterdam Architecture Award for EMC Educational Centre

The Education Center Erasmus MC Rotterdam has won the Rotterdam Architecture Award. From a shortlist of 25 entries, the jury has chosen the design of Claus & Kaan Architecten.

The jury verdict says: ‘The interplay of the building program and the high architectural quality promotes the city of Rotterdam as the home of a medical institution with international appeal for talent.’On behalf of JP van Eesteren, Octatube has realised a number of iconic features within the project: 2 large glass zigzag facades, the glass balustrades of the large ‘bookshelf’, and all (fire resistant) interior glass fronts. More information can be found on the website of the Rotterdam Architecture Award.The Education Center Erasmus MC Rotterdam has won the Rotterdam Architecture Award.
