Global Glass, the specialist manufacturing division of Synseal Extrusions, has launched its new insulated glass unit brochure, which highlights its market leading products supported by crucial technical information.

The manufacturing principles at Global Glass reflect the guiding principles at Synseal, which are to build-in quality at every stage and continually improve quality standards to achieve optimum performance and customer satisfaction.David Leng, Synseals chief executive, explained the advantage of manufacturing insulated glass units for windows, doors and conservatory roofs on site at Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. It ensures quality control of manufactured products, stock, cost base management, reliability of supply chain materials and, even more importantly for customers, precise management of price, lead times and product availability, he said.

The IGU assembly process is automated and testing is computerised to ensure products of a consistently high quality . With investment in the latest technologies and modern machinery, Global Glass is able to manufacture and deliver market leading products time after time.

Operational processes at the Global Glass production plant are constantly reviewed to reduce waste, diagnose potential problems and identify solutions quickly and systematically.

Choosing a sealed glass unit manufacturer is a critical decision, David said. Consumers are increasingly demanding higher energy ratings to keep their homes warmer and heating bills lower.

The Global Glass IGU brochure discusses the various elements that go into making the market leading units, such as: the choice between double and triple glazed units; gas filling options; warm edge spacer bars; and self cleaning and solar control glass coatings. An experienced and skilled customer care team is always on hand to provide technical advice, address any glass-related questions and assist with project enquiries.

Global Glass has also won fantastic plaudits from customers, including Somerset-based fabricator, Trade Frames, which has transferred its entire glass business to the supplier. Owner Keith Matthews said: The product they are producing at Global Glass is fantastic, it is second to none. For example, the cleanliness is brilliant, and they have introduced this simple thing that my guys on the floor absolutely rave about: it is an identification sticker on the top edge of the unit, so when the glass is unloaded at our end, the guys can tell at a glance which unit is destined for which frame, rather than having to trawl through a whole delivery.

David Leng concluded: Further strategic investments in both technology and processes will be deployed as Global Glass intends to lead the way in advanced IGU manufacturing technology. Global Glass will constantly strive to find new ways to design, produce and deliver market leading IGU products.
