The Texas Glass Association announced that Deron Patterson, sales development manager for PPG Industries, Pittsburgh, has been named president elect to the 2011-2012 board of directors.

Patterson joined TGA in 1999, when he entered the glass business as an employee of the Guardian Industries float glass plant in Corsicana, Texas. The following year, he accepted a position in outside sales covering Texas, Louisiana and Mexico. In 2006, Patterson joined PPG, becoming the sales development manager for Mexico, southern Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico.
