Reynaers has again partnered with the highly respected Society of Façade Engineering to support FAÇADE2016, the third international awards for façade engineering excellence.

The three categories open to individuals, companies and project teams are Façade of the Year – New Build; Façade of the Year – Refurbishment; and finally Façade of the Year – Innovation; considered from the former categories or as a stand-alone entry. The awards are free of charge to enter.

Paul Duffy, Sales Director at Reynaers, said: “Reynaers is a keen supporter of innovation in the construction industry and we will continue to support the recognition and rewarding of excellence in façade design, engineering and application.

“The standard of last year’s entries was outstanding and I look forward to seeing the next wave of exquisite façades entered into these prestigious awards.”

The winners in 2015 included Flynn Group for the Ryerson Student Learning Centre in Toronto for the New Build category, Arup Façade Engineering for the Guys Hospital Tower for the Refurbishment award and the Outstanding Façade Innovation 2015 was awarded jointly to Arup and Bellapart for the Bombay Sapphire Distillery.

Graham Hackley, FAÇADE2016 organiser, said: “Reynaers shares our vision for celebrating pioneering ideas and precision engineering, and we’re really pleased to receive support for the second year running.”

The awards will be presented on December 1st at the prestigious Glass Supper, held at the historic and architecturally renowned Gibson Hall in the City of London.

Winners will be presented by Chris Macey MBA, FSFE, former Chairman of the SFE and founder of the FAÇADE competition.

Entries will be judged by an esteemed panel starring some of the foremost experts from the field of façade engineering and design, including Chris Macey, Graham Hackley, Patrick Ryan, David Metcalfe, Mark Taylor, Steve Lo and Saverio Pasetto.

Entries for the competition must be received by October 31st; any façade contract practically complete between 31st December 2014 and 31st December 2015 and not previously entered in an SFE competition will be considered for the awards.
