Glasstec 2020 has been an important opportunity for business in a world that has forcibly gone virtual. RCN was able to “surf” into Glasstec Virtual, running into the platform to meet visitors and check demands.

The company is particularly happy about the results of its webinar concerning the chemical tempering of the glass, held on October 22nd, and that met with significant attendance.

Alessandro Rivaroli, RCN’s speaker, did a great job explaining the concept of the chemical tempering without the physical presence of the audience that usually interacts with a look of approval or questioning expressions. In spite of the lack of a face-to-face discussion, we are having the right feedback and demands are coming in.

An important point of the discussion about the reasons for choosing an RCN chemical tempering line, it is the possibility to start with a very small oven, size 800x450xH580mm, that can serve companies already having a chemical plant, as well as companies who wants to experience chemical tempering before investing into a big plant.

The first ones can use the small oven for laboratory purposes, testing before running a new production with special glass or potassium nitrate; or check the resistance of the glass panels after tempering to find the best way to process them before going for volumes.

The second ones will have an instrument to start to experience chemical tempering, and a valuable guide for the process and test by using small quantity of glass and salts; or, in addition, to process small glass sizes, such as 120x120mm suitable for the optical or the electronic industry.

R.C.N. SOLUTIONS can manufacture any size of chemical tempering oven, according to the customers’ requirements.
