Eclipse Releases New Conical Flame Throughport Burners

Date: 24 February 2014

Eclipse, Inc., a worldwide leader in combustion solutions for the glass industry, has released two conical flame throughport burners designed to be inserted through the port neck of a regenerative glass furnace.  The WTPUG version 2 is a water-cooled, throughport natural gas burner.

The WTPUG version 2 has a wide range of water jacket sizes and nozzle diameters, allowing for higher capacities.

The WTPU version 1 is a water-cooled throughport oil-fired burner. It can be used as the primary burner or as a backup to a gas-fired burner, and it is capable of firing light or heavy fuel oil. Both the WTPU and WTPUG burners are available to fit in the Eclipse Retraction Mechanism, and may be configured with NPT or BSP fuel and water inlet/outlet connections. Both types of burners are available in water jacket lengths from 1400 mm (55 inches) to 2000 mm (78.7 inches) in increments of 100 mm (3.9 inches).
