Date: 15 June 2009

Double R Glass & Roofing Systems Ltd has worked closely with BSI since 2003 when they became one of the first sealed unit manufacturers to achieve the EN 1279-2 accreditation for its traditionally manufactured sealed units.

Having made the decision to install a Toughening Furnace, Double R knew that it was important that they gain the prestigious Kitemark™ certificate for Toughened Safety Glass.Ian Sims, commenting on the decision, said “We have worked with BSI for many years and the Kitemark™ is a leading worldwide brand. It was, therefore, an obvious route for us to be able to offer our customers the assurance they need of the consistent quality of the Toughened Safety Glass that we supply.

“We were delighted that the samples we submitted to BSI achieved the highest standard possible and this confirms our commitment to quality”
