Artist's passion stained glass

Date: 17 October 2003

Linda Bajorek sat in the back of her downtown Lake Villa store, carefully cutting pieces of blue glass that would later be held together with lead to form the Star of David.

Slowly, she scored the lines into the blue glass using a glass cutter. She then grabbed another tool and snapped the shaped piece away from the rest of the sheet of glass.

"I don't know what possessed me to get into this," Bajorek joked about her stained glass hobby. Her artistic passion eventually led to her to open her own store, L & B Naturals, in downtown Lake Villa in late July. Not only does she sell her work and stained glass supplies, but she also offers classes for others to learn the hobby.
