AB Glass has recently completed a contract to undertake refurbishment work at Specsavers’ support office in Guernsey.

The award winning aluminium manufacturing and installation company was appointed by one of Guernsey’s longest established building contractors, Rihoy & Son, to provide its services at the optical retailer’s support office in St Andrew’s, Guernsey.

Working alongside architect André Bisson of A7 Design, AB Glass designed, manufactured and installed aluminium systems including Kawneer AA100 curtain walling and AA190 doors.

AB Glass started work on the project during June 2018, with the company recently completing work on site.

Chris Haines, design director at AB Glass, said:

“We are very proud to have been awarded this contract and offer our services to the world’s largest private optical retailer. Working at Specsavers’ support office in Guernsey will allow us to augment our portfolio within the Channel Islands and shows our ability to offer expert services to such a renowned retailer worldwide.

“We are pleased to have worked with Rihoy & Son and A7 Design on this project, and are confident our collaboration has provided an enhanced result for Specsavers.”

Swansea-based AB Glass has established a strong reputation for delivering success on projects across the UK. In addition to its solid project-base in South Wales, the company has also provided its services to an increasing number of developments within the South West including in Bristol, Bath, Devon and Cornwall. This latest Specsavers contract will boost AB Glass’ presence within the Channel Islands, building upon previous projects the company has completed in Guernsey and Jersey.
