  • Maintaining all simplified procedures currently allowed for both type testing and type calculation.
  • Ensuring that the EU Database or System allows for smooth and cost-reasonable functioning of the industry
  • Guaranteeing that all sustainability provisions effectively result in sustainable outcomes for the sector

Justin Loup, Technical Regulations and Project Advisor at Glass for Europe, presented the legislative timeline, Glass for Europe’s position paper on the review of the CPR, the advocacy activities undertaken and the ones to come.

How to ensure a workable Construction Products Regulation for all actors of the building glass value chain? Glass for Europe will keep on working with the EU Commission and the EU Parliament to ensure that wise and well-informed decisions are taken. Glass and glazing national associations will play a major role in the months to come to raise awareness among national governments about the flat glass value-chain concerns.
