Eighth Pacific Rim Conference on Ceramic and Glass Technology
Held every three years, they are an important means of disseminating information on glass science and technology and provide valuable opportunities for glass scientists and technologists to meet. Since the late 1980s ICG Congresses have experienced a significant growth in attendance and number of papers. There are between 700 to 1000 attendees and up to 900 papers and posters. A special feature of the Congresses on Glass is the presentation of invited lectures which review major achievements not only in the traditional fields of glass science and technology, but also in related fields of new applications of glass such as optics, photonics, electronics, nanotechnology, coating technology, biotechnology, polymers and composites.
