EWFA (www.ewfa.org) joined today the BUILD UP initiative as a Partner, following an invitation from the European Commission.       www.buildup.eu is an interactive web portal for building professionals, public authorities and building occupants who want to share their experience on how best save energy in buildings. The key aim of this European initiative is to reduce the energy consumption of buildings across Europe by transferring best practices to the market and fostering their uptake.

The interactive BUILD UP web portal catalyses and releases Europe’s collective intelligence for an effective implementation of energy-saving measures in buildings. With BUILD UP EWFA will benefit of the latest news and information about EU energy policy for buildings.

EWFA sees on this partnership another channel to promote its case studies, industry guidelines and best practises. In addition, BUILD UP will constitute an excellent networking platform to get in touch with other industry associations, decision-makers as well as building professionals and occupants. “We are very pleased with the European Commission’s invitation to join this online platform. We look forward to further co-operation with regards to increasing awareness to all available technologies on the market that contribute to the energy efficiency of the buildings in Europe,” stated Hans Craen, EWFA’s Secretary General.
