EME Maschinenfabrik Clasen GmbH, a leading provider of Batch Plant and Cullet Return Systems for the glass industry, has been awarded the contract for the new facility TM3 at Thai Malaya Glass.

This is a strategically important milestone for EME in the dynamic Southeast Asian market.

The plant, with a capacity of 400 t/d, is to be erected on a Greenfields site close to the existing factory in Saraburi. The parent company Berli Jucker plans, together with Thai Malaya Glass, to build three furnaces at this location with a long term view close the factory in central Bangkok (Rajburana).

Nikolaus Sorg GmbH , in conjunction with EME, have provided an overall plant concept, from raw material feeding right through the melting process and ending with the glass conditioning system. The design is based on Siemens standard components with intelligent control of the entire system to provide the customer with an efficient and effective plant.

Included by EME are all key components for weighing, dosing and mixing, cullet return and process control. Sorg will provide the furnace and forehearths with their respective control systems.
