Architectural Glass and Aluminum (AGA), a western U.S. curtain-wall manufacturer/installer, has tripled the size of its Northern California operations center with its move to a new facility in Livermore, Calif.

The move enables the firm to combine manufacturing and engineering operations with corporate offices in a 175,000-square-foot building on a 10-acre site.

“The new Livermore location will streamline manufacturing and distribution of AGA’s finished goods, in support of the West Coast and Hawaii regional offices," said John Buckley, president. "The new facility provides a significant increase in overall manufacturing capacity, complementing advancement in state-of-the-art BIM-to-CNC technology, as well as investments we’ve made in lean manufacturing and business process improvements."

The new facility will be capable of operating around the clock, seven days a week, according to company officials. In addition, the new headquarters will serve as a facility for meeting with clients during design collaboration and/or educational presentations. Initially, there will be approximately 80 employees at the new location; however, staffing is expected to grow in excess of 100 shortly.
