Taiwan-based producer of optical discs Ritek recently spun off its optical business to form a new company called Aimcore, according to the company.
The new company will conduct touch panel indium tin oxide (ITO) glass business, said Ritek. Ritek CEO Gordon Yeh added the company sees great potential for the touch panel market and Aimcore is already able to volume produce 0.21mm-thick glass coated with ITO with the products having gained verification from several car makers.
