Xinyi Glass Holdings Limited ignited the furnace at its new float glass production line at its complex in the Wuqing Development Zone in Tianjin, China, for a trial run.

According to the announcement, with a daily melting capacity of 1,000 tons, the production line is one of the largest, specialized glass production lines in terms of production capacity on both the company’s and country's level. The company adds that the line also ranks among the lowest in energy consumption and a leader in several environmental indicators.

Including the new float glass production line, Xinyi has invested in and built three high-quality float glass production lines this year at its Tianjin production complex. The combined facilities also enable the company to consolidate upstream and downstream glass production chains, thereby optimizing the purchase of raw materials, delivery and packaging, and lowering production costs.
