Virtual Venetian Blinds! Isoclima Demonstrates Its VebLite Brand Of SPD-SmartGlass For Marine Applications At SEATEC 2013

Date: 6 February 2013

Research Frontiers (Nasdaq: REFR) licensee Isoclima S.p.A. is exhibiting (Zone C, Booth 718) its VebLite brand of SPD-Smart windows for marine applications at SEATEC 2013 being held from February 6-8, 2013 in Carrara, Italy.

VebLite is Isoclima’s SPD-Smart solar control and privacy glazing product that functions like a venetian blind but with no moving parts! It has multiple segments that provide instantly customizable shading fully controlled by the passengers and crew and can be operated individually to create the effect of a shade being raised or lowered or moved to the side. This precisely controls where incoming heat and glare enter a yacht or boat through a window or rooflite, and also controls privacy levels.

Isoclima offers two versions of SPD-Smart VebLite – VebLite Dark and VebLite Light. VebLite Dark can block over 99.5% of incoming visible light, while VebLite Light offers higher levels of light transmission when fully clear. Isoclima also offers its CromaLite brand of SPD-SmartGlass. CromaLite windows and rooflites are composed of a single controllable segment that changes shading levels instantly and precisely to any point between dark and clear.

SEATEC 2013 is a leading international exhibition of technology and design for boats, megayachts and ships. More information is available from the event website.
