Vetropack Gostomel Glass Factory won the contest "Ukrainian packaging star 2013"

Date: 23 April 2013

Wine bottle "Bordolesse Light" is a classic form of wine bottle in improved realisation. The bottle won the hearts of the jury because of its simplicity and lightness.

Bordolesse Light is produced by blow-blow technology, but weights by 12% less than its predecessor without reducing the volume.

That was achieved mainly through the different design of bottom - winning in volume and weight by eliminating a hollow.

Bordolesse Light is produced in green, amber glass or transitional colours - "feuille morte " cuvee, olive green - which is best suited for saving wine and protect it from ultraviolet radiation. A production of lightweight glass has a number of advantages – in savings of raw materials and energy, reduce carbon emissions, by warehouse keeping and logistics.

Year 2013 Ukrainian club of packers for the fifteenth time held a national competition for the best package. This year 87 samples of packages and labels from 24 companies and 85 samples from university students were presented to the jury. The award ceremony was held on April 11, 2013 within the framework of "Pack-Expo 2013" exhibition in Expoplaza expocenter in Kiev.

We would remind you that in February 2013, the World Packaging Organisation WPO recognized "Ukrainian packaging star" contest as an eligible qualifying awards programme to enter the WorldStar Awards.
