Two Nominations 'Dutch Construction Award' 2015

The cablenet facades of the Market Hall are nominated for the 'Dutch Construction Award' 2015 in the category building materials and building systems.

Also the extension of the Mauritshuis museum has been nominated in the category for buildings.  This has been announced today at a lare press conference. Out of 111 applications the professional jury has nominated 3 buildings and 3 building systems.











For the Market Hall (MVRDV) in Rotterdam Octatube has realised two large cablenet faces of 42 by 34 meters. These are the largest cable facades in Europe.







For the extension of the Mauritshuis museum (Hans van Heeswijk Architecten) Octatube has realised the full glass elevator shaft and a large walkable floor glass unit.



The winners of the 'Dutch Construction Award' will be announced by category on Monday the 9th of February 2015 during the 'Prom of the Dutch Construction Sector'.
