Tru Vue to Receive SHARP Recognition from OSHA

Date: 9 March 2012

McCOOK, ILLINOIS (February 29, 2012) – On Thursday, March 8, 2012, Tru Vue Inc. will be recognized for its commitment to worksite safety and health.

The organization’s manufacturing facility located in McCook, Illinois will formally receive SHARP Recognition (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) from OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). To recognize the facility for its achievement, Joe Costigan, the Director of the Illinois Department of Labor, will present the award to Tru Vue.  In addition, Tru Vue will celebrate the day by hosting an employee luncheon and raising the SHARP flag at the facility.

SHARP is awarded to an elite group of businesses that demonstrate and maintain exemplary safety and health management systems. Currently, the McCook facility has not had an OSAH recordable injury in 550 days.  This is just one example of Tru Vue’s commitment to worksite safety. During the review process for SHARP recognition, the Illinois Department of Labor sent in Teams to review programs, training, conduct hygiene sampling, inspections and interviewed plant and management personnel. The final phase of the application required a review and approval by OSHA Region V, which was granted on December 20, 2011.
