Simpson Door Company's new "Test Drive A Door" online tool allows users to upload pictures of their homes and try on different door designsMcCleary, WA (PRWEB) October 13, 2011There are 412 of them in the White House and an average of 18 in the typical American home – that’s a lot of doors per dwelling.

Simpson® Door Company understands doors are an important part of a home’s overall design and aesthetics and will be in the home for many years. To help make the decision process easier and ensure customers get the wood door that best fits their home and personality, Simpson has added a new feature, “Test Drive a Door,” to its website. The new online tool allows users to upload pictures of their home and view different exterior and interior door styles to find the perfect match. http://www.simpsondoor.com/test-drive-your-door/

Users begin a “Test Drive” by choosing an exterior or interior door photo from the online selection, or uploading an image of their own home. They can then choose among various door types such as traditional, decorative, French, sash, panel or bifold. When test driving an exterior door, customers also have the option to pick an architectural style like Arts & Crafts or contemporary, and include doors with sidelights and/or transoms.

From the selection of doors that match their search criteria, users can simply click on a door and drag and drop it into their photo. The “Test Drive a Door” tool also allows users to add specific doors to their “Favorites,” request a quote, locate a dealer and print their door – all at a click.

“With over 900 standard Simpson door designs to choose from, including decorative French to bifold and acrylic panel doors, homeowners may have a hard time narrowing down door options or deciding between specific designs,” said Brad Loveless, Marketing and Product Development Manager for Simpson Door Company. “Being able to see how a door design looks in their own home can be the deciding factor. ‘Test Drive a Door’ is another way we’re helping our customers find the Simpson door that best fits their needs and style.”

“Test Drive a Door” includes all Simpson exterior and interior door designs, including the latest designs in its Mastermark® and Craftsman Collections, Bungalow and Builder’s Advantage Series and interior Lumicor® doors.
