Yas Arena located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE is part of the 130ha mixed-use area under development on the Island’s southern end.

Described as ‘an intergral part of Yas Bay’s waterfront destination’, the arena has a capacity of 18,000 seats, expecting to be fitted with systems that will reduce the energy and water consumption, producing savings of 22.4% and respectively 28% for each year.

Wintech are providing façade consultancy and complex geometry services to BAM International on this landmark project.

The roof truss will contribute to the arena’s “green credentials”, supporting a self-shading façade that will enhance natural light absorption but insulate against heat and help energy conservation. Therefore, Yas Arena will be able to host events in a temperature controlled environment.
