ROK markets comprehensive suite of innovative and cost-effective security and protection technologies to law enforcement agencies, the military and private and domestic customers worldwideROK Global PLC, the UK-based technology, applications and services company, has announced the formation of an exclusive joint venture (JV) with Dallas-based Wintec Protective Systems, Inc. to market the GSS-11 range of glass-strengthening products globally.

Wintec have developed the easy-to-apply, low-cost and fully patented GSS-11 glass-strengthening technology using ''Hydro-Train'' absorption chemistry to bond patented film, developed by Wintec, to ordinary glass.

GSS-11 is officially approved as a ''Tier 2'' bullet-proof protective coating to glass and will be added to ROK''s suite of innovative and cost-effective security and protection technologies and services.

"The market for this relatively low-cost application, which renders ordinary glass bullet-proof to small arms fire, is almost limitless." Said Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman of ROK Global. "Whether it be for use by government agencies, the military or police to help protect their buildings, vehicles and personnel, or for shop keepers to protect their premises from rioters and looters or even for the domestic home owner as protection against burglars, our JV with Wintec enables our sales teams in the security market to sell this incredible product globally."

ROK Global PLC, founded by US Billionaire John Paul DeJoria and UK serial technology entrepreneur, Jonathan Kendrick, is listed on the Open Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and already markets its Homeland Security service to government and law enforcement agencies worldwide.

"We have the marketing skills and the sales reach into all the relevant markets for GSS-11 across the globe and we are very excited and enthused at the opportunity we have to exploit GSS-11 in what is a huge and under-developed market in the bullet-proofing of glass." Added Kendrick.

In addition to being the co-founder of ROK, John Paul DeJoria is Chairman and CEO of John Paul Mitchell Systems, the manufacturer of Paul Mitchell hair care products and is also co-founder of Patron Tequila, the world''s leading premium tequila brand.

ROK has pioneered many new technologies in the rapidly-evolving mobile, web and security space including high quality mass-market Mobile TV (which can be streamed, live and on-demand, over mass-market 2.5G as well as 3G and Wi-Fi), as well as various mobile security technologies and multi-language text-to-speech technologies.
