Rohm and Haas Declares Quarterly Dividend

Rohm and Haas Company (NYSE: ROH) today announced that its Board of Directors voted to increase the company's quarterly dividend.

The dividend was increased to $.21 per share, up 5 percent over the current $.20 per share. The new dividend will be payable on September 1, 2002 to shareholders of record on August 2, 2002.

With this increase, Rohm and Haas Company has 25 years of continuous dividend increases, reflecting a compound annual growth of 10.4 percent.
