Owens Corning Becomes Primary Insulation Provider to Masco Contractor ServicesOwens Corning (NYSE: OC) today announced that it has been named as the primary insulation provider to the Masco Contractor Services business of the Masco Corporation (NYSE: MAS).

The agreement expands the companies' relationship, providing Owens Corning, the nation's largest insulation manufacturer, with access to a substantially wider network of builders and homeowners through Masco's position as the leading insulation installer in the U.S.

"As leaders in the building materials industry, it is only natural for Owens Corning and Masco Contractor Services to work together to deliver innovative, sustainable, and energy-efficient solutions to the marketplace," said Owens Corning Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mike Thaman. "We are particularly pleased that this agreement will feature our revolutionary new Owens Corning EcoTouch™ insulation, which was recently introduced at the International Builders' Show."

The agreement will also serve as a catalyst to impact energy efficiency through sharing of building science knowledge and the pursuit of opportunities to collaboratively shape and advance energy policy legislation and standards.

"Working closely with Owens Corning enhances Masco Contractor Services' ability to grow its sales," said Timothy Wadhams, President and Chief Executive Officer at Masco Corporation. "Collaboration throughout the supply chain will create efficiencies in logistics, lower working capital, consistent supply, and better service for its customers. With our combined leadership in building science, this relationship will deliver substantial benefits to builders and homeowners."

The combined strength of Owens Corning's extensive U.S. manufacturing footprint and more than 150 Masco Contractor Services locations provides builders with broader access to an integrated portfolio of insulation products that are both energy-efficient and deliver value. These products include Owens Corning's industry-leading EcoTouch™ and EnergyComplete™ insulating solutions.

Owens Corning EcoTouch™ insulation is a new class of high-performance residential and light commercial insulation made with 99-percent natural materials, a certified minimum of 30 percent post-consumer recycled content and 50 percent total recycled content, and a formaldehyde-free formulation.

Owens Corning's EnergyComplete™ Insulation and Air Sealing System reflects an increasing focus on safe, reliable, and economical air sealing technology demanded by today's uncompromising, but value-conscious homebuyers.
