These are exciting times for interior designers working with glass for the office space. And why not?

Glass has always added glitz and glamour to architecture, but its innovative new uses are definitely a revelation.

This is precisely what interior designer Space Matrix and interior contractors Brawn Globus discovered and delivered at the J.P.Morgan Chase office at Hitech City, Hyderabad with Planilaque Evolution from Saint-Gobain Glass.

Ever since it has been introduced, SGG Planilaque Evolution has been trending. It has remained the toast of every season, and not without reason. So what makes Planilaque the perfect pick as glass for the office space?

One, Planilaque Evolution is a lacquered glass, which makes it durable to withstand extreme conditions. Two, it is an environmentally sustainable building material that is free from lead,  arsenic, formaldehyde and copper. At a time when companies are looking at being increasingly sensitive to the eco-system, Planilaque shows the way forward.

Three, it is moisture-resistant and therefore can be used even in areas that are highly humid. Four, it is scratch-proof, making it immune to the rigours of everyday use. Five, its variety in colour and use is just what is needed from a glass for the office space.

The J.P.Morgan Chase office at Hyderabad’s Hitech City stands testimony to the versatility of SGG Planilaque Evolution. The interior décor team has optimally utilized the multi facets of Planilaque to build a standing example of how significant glass for the office space can actually be. From pillars to writing boards to use in the cafetaria, 500 sqm of Ultra-White Planilaque Evolution leave an impressive impact.

Besides the innovative Planilaque, Saint-Gobain‘s range of adhesive solutions ‘SGG Planifix’ was also used in the project. Planifix is ideal for fixing glass and is available in Silicone tubes as well as Double-sided tapes. The Silicone sealant paste was used to deliver key benefits like humidity-resistance, less sag/slump, high bonding strength, UV-resistance, thermal stability, low VoC and high durability.

Glass for the office space needs to blend beauty with utility, versatility with durability. This may be too much to ask for, but not from Planilaque. Delivering all of this, and much more, it is little wonder that Saint-Gobain’s Planilaque Evolution is a glass that is truly a class apart.
