Glass for Building-Glass for Hospital Architecture

Date: 24 April 2013

Saifee Hospital is not only the most prominent and beautiful building in the skyline of Mumbai, but is a unique outcome of a symbiotic relationship between an architect, his client and Saint-Gobain Glass India.

Watch this video to see this architectural marvel and quotes from the architect himself.   The glass used for this building was a combination of SGG Cool-lite (DGU) and SGG Parsol (DGU).This combination ensured a high light transmission during daytime and minimum internal reflection, to reduce the “mirroring effect” during night time. Double Glazing for the facade, as well as for the windows ensured heat reduction into the building and accoustic insulation.
