Fraunhofer at glasstec 2012

Dusseldorf  Oct 23, 2012 - Oct 26, 2012  Hall 15, Booth E25 Glass for the futureIce- and fog-free windshields, switchable glazing that regulates the temperature inside buildings and vehicles, innovative methods of cutting laminated glass, laser-induced etching for the micro machining of glass: these are just a few of the up-and-coming developments that we will be presenting at glasstec 2012.

At the joint Fraunhofer booth in Hall 15, Booth E25, the Fraunhofer Institutes for Laser Technology ILT, for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST, for Silicate Research ISC, and for Mechanics of Materials IWM will offer visitors the opportunity to discover a wide diversity of practical solutions and new research findings of interest to the glass industry – from processes for the development, coating, and micro structuring of glass products to form-cutting machines and photovoltaic applications. Other innovative glass products and solutions developed by Fraunhofer researchers will be presented in the special show “glass technology live” in Hall 11.

We look forward to meeting you at glasstec 2012.

Facade access is interpreted in different ways around the globe. In some regions, a Building Maintenance Unit (or BMU) is a requirement for any building over 15 meters of height, and failing to consider a facade access system could have legal implications for the architect.

Proper Procedures for Cleaning Architectural Glass Products
EnduroShield is a protective permanent coating to use in all kinds of glass surfaces. The product is a transparent liquid that is pulverized on the glass and by means of a covalent union creates the permanent coating.
There will be mud at FIT Show 2016. “The best way to demonstrate the exceptional performance of TruShield® easy-clean treatment for glazing is to throw muddy water at it,” says Charlotte Davies, Marketing Manager at Edgetech UK, a Quanex company.
