Date: 25 May 2011

Gerresheimer consolidated its presence in the Latin and South American market in March of this year by taking over the Brazilian company, Védat, in São Paulo.

At FCE Pharma 2011 (May 24 to 26) at the Transamerica Expo Center (Aisle K/L – Stand 260, Gerresheimer now intends to present its entire portfolio of plastic pharmaceutical packaging products in its first collective product catalogue specifically for the Latin and South American market.

We have seven production plants for customers in this market where we effectively combine local production operations with our global expertise,” explained Jens Friis, Gerresheimer’s Vice President Plastic Packaging South America.

The South American Gerresheimer companies will be demonstrating this new strength to an international public as joint exhibitors at this year’s FCE Pharma.

Another premiere is the first plastic pharmaceutical packaging product catalog, which is being published jointly by Gerresheimer Plãsticos São Paulo, Gerresheimer Védat and Gerresheimer Buenos Aires in Portuguese and Spanish. The 30-page catalog presents their comprehensive range of pharmaceutical packaging products and systems. It features dropper bottles for eye drops, spray bottles for nasal sprays, PET bottles for cough medicine, PE containers for tablets, plus a wide range of caps, closures and all kinds of accessories such as dosing caps, droppers, measuring cups, dosing syringes and the product group of applicators.
