After years providing protection for electronic products, Eldon Technology has switched its attention to delivering a safety conscious finish in a new Rotherham head-office.

To help the company achieve this goal, leading partitioning manufacturer Komfort was brought in to provide a detailed and specialist solution.

The all new office suites and boardrooms were fitted using single glazed Polar partitions, a minimal system designed with very few components that offers a speedy installation without compromising strength and rigidity. This sleek yet functional partitioning system was installed in individual breakout spaces and boardrooms, and included glass doors throughout, creating a uniform identity throughout the space.

However, aside from offering a high-quality interior finish, Eldon also required a product that provided fire performance for the stairwell entrances and exits of the two-storey building. Komfort’s specialist expertise and products again came to the fore by using the Komfire 100. This unique fire rated glass-partitioning system provides fire resistance for up to one hour, retaining structural integrity and providing insulation from heat. These technologically advanced partitioning systems offer unrivalled certification, having undergone stringent independent testing.

In addition to meeting the requirements of Approved Document Part M for the glass manifestation, a bespoke design with the Eldon logo was produced in an opal frost film and also applied to the glass to provide a modern look that was reverse applied over 30 times in a repetitive pattern across the glass partitions.

Komfort also supplied its KM3 Storagewall in one of the new boardrooms which was selected due to its flexible and versatile configuration, helping to maintain the uncluttered and sophisticated charm of a modern office environment by enabling staff to accommodate multiple filing systems that remain hidden from view.

Franz Lorenschitz, Marketing & New Product Development Manager said: “Komfort operates an uncompromising programme of product testing to ensure peace of mind when it comes to fire, structural and acoustic performance. Our Komfire range is durable, simple to maintain and install, and is the leading product in fire performance for solid and glazed partitioning.”
