CGI International Expands Fire Glass Solutions with Pyroguard-T Launch

Date: 1 May 2013

Fire glass solutions specialist, CGI International, has extended its market leading Pyroguard fire resistant glazing with the launch of Pyroguard-T – a range of high performance fire glass products, which provide access to some of the largest tested sizes available on the market today.

A gel-filled product manufactured with toughened glass, Pyroguard-T is extremely robust during installation and offers excellent impact strength of up to 1B1 (under European standards).Spanning fire ratings of E30 to EI 120, Pyroguard-T is manufactured to bespoke sizes by CGI International and shipped straight to site. Offering the additional benefit of large format applications, Pyroguard-T is certified for use in sizes up to and including 3m in height or 3.6m² in area.

Approved for use in an extensive suite of steel profiles, Pyroguard-T is primarily aimed at the steel fabrication and installer market. However, the product has also been tested in a core range of timber applications. In response to projects which increasingly demand superior acoustic performance, Pyroguard-T also offers an efficient solution, with the fire glass delivering sound reduction of up to 45dB.

As with all Pyroguard products, Pyroguard-T is underpinned by extensive technical documentation and support from the CGI International team.

Commenting on the launch of Pyroguard-T to the UK market, Steve Goodburn, Sales Director, said: “Pyroguard-T essentially completes our range of fire glass solutions. While the standard Pyroguard range delivers a fast and competitive product that be held in stock and cut to order on a rapid turnaround basis, Pyroguard-T significantly opens up the larger project market – particularly in the commercial, education and healthcare sectors.”
