Asahi India Q1 net up 19% at Rs16.39cr

Asahi India Glass on Tuesday announced a jump of 19 per cent in its net profit to Rs 16.39 crore for the first quarter ended June 30 of the current fiscal from Rs 13.73 crore for the same period last year.

The net sales of the company increased 16 per cent to Rs 153.79 crore for the same period this year from Rs 132.43 crore last year.Asahi India Glass Ltd, manufacturers of automotive safety glass and float glass, is a joint venture between the Labroo family, Asahi Glass Co Ltd of Japan, and Maruti Udyog Ltd. It began operations in 1987.
