Further strengthening of the market presence of Steinemann Technology in the Asia-Pacific region / Close cooperation with Steinemann (Shanghai) Ma- chinery Co., Ltd. / Establishment of further Steinemann agencies in the region Alexander McNab (38) is the new Area Sales Manager of the Business Unit Graphic of Steinemann Technology AG, St.

Gallen/Switzerland, for the Southeast Asia region. As an expert in the graphic arts industry in this region, McNab will further strengthen the presence of Steinemann Technology in key countries, such as Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. In this context, McNab will cooperate very closely with Steinemann (Shanghai) Machin- ery Co., Ltd. (SSMC), which was established in 2006 and has since been producing Steinemann machines to European quality guidelines for the markets in Asia.

Thanks to its wide range of existing activities in the Far East, Steinemann Technology already has a strong installed base in many Asian countries to- day. The company hopes to further improve its access to the market by, among other things, establishing new agencies in important countries in the region. "Particularly in Southeast Asia, print finishing is one of those segments of the printing and media industry that is clearly heading for growth. The name Steinemann, as the technology leader, and the concept of 'Swiss Technology' have had a very good reputation in the industry here for a long time. I see my job as being to use this strong foundation in order to consistently exploit the existing market potentials for our company," says McNab, looking ahead. The new Area Sales Manager will operate from the Steinemann Representative Office in Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia, the service and sales office that has been responsible for the company's regional support activities in Southeast Asia since 1998.

"We have set ourselves the goal of achieving further, sustainable growth, par- ticularly in the Asia-Pacific region. That goes for both our varnishing systems and our laminating systems. We're delighted to have been able to obtain the services of Alexander McNab, an expert with outstanding knowledge of the local graphic arts industry," says Jürg Spittler, Head of the Business Unit Graphic of Steinemann Technology, welcoming the collaboration with the new Area Sales Manager.

McNab is coming to Steinemann Technology from press roller manufacturer Böttcher Systems, where he worked for eleven years, ultimately as Country Manager for Malaysia. Before that, McNab was employed by Toyo Photo Products, a graphic arts trading company based in Kuala Lumpur, where he set up the densitometer sales network for X-Rite in Malaysia. Alexander McNab is the new Area Sales Manager of the Business Unit Graphic of Steinemann Technology in Southeast Asia.
