On July 23, a strategic cooperation agreement was reached between China Development Strategy Institute for Building Materials Industry (CSIBM) and Shahe Municipal Government, Hebei Province, to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of glass industry in Shahe and realize innovative, intensive, green, and scientific development.

Liu Changfa, President of CSIBM, and Liu Guofang, Mayor of Shahe City, signed the agreement.

Shahe City has become the largest glass production base in China, contributing 20% of national glass output. In March, Shahe Glass Production & Deep Processing Base was included in the third batch of National New Industrialization Demonstration Bases. As the only comprehensive industry consulting agency that has won National Grade-A Qualification for Consultation and specializes in strategy consultation, planning consultation, engineering consultation, information consultation and management consultation in building materials industry, CSIBM will give full play to its advantages in brand, talents, research and consultation to help resolve the key and difficult problems encountered by the glass industry in Shahe.


According to the agreement, Shahe Municipal Government and CSIBM will carry out long-term strategic cooperation, to promote the transformation and upgrading of glass industry in Shahe, improve the competitiveness and capacity for sustainable development of glass industry, and build a nationally leading and internationally advantageous large-scale industry cluster and modern glass base, supported by CSIBM and taking the glass industry in Shahe as the platform.


After signing the agreement, CSIBM will organize an expert group to conduct investigation and survey in Shahe for carrying out the detailed work of the next stage.
