The Architect will ensure service excellence is achieved according to our commitment to the BT user community in supporting our highly secure R&D platform. This position will ensure support continuity for HC business globally as well as critical joint experiment support. Due to the nature of the application we support and security recommendation, production operations can only be managed by internal workforces

Skills: Highly experienced in developing organizational data models and database design optimal for data processing, ingestion and consumption. Familiar with on-premise and cloud data integration, pipeline and repository technologies (e.g. ETL, Informatica, Oracle, SQL, R, Python) as well as design concepts and implications, with use of supportive data catalogs and governance techniques. Knowledgeable of data engineering, architecture and structure approaches (XML/XSD) and best practices. Expert at SQL and stored procedures

Knowledge of clinical drug development data preferred.
Deliverables (but not limited to): Development of organizational data architecture and data model designs at concept, logical and solution design levels. Provision of technical expertise and industry knowledge to influence optimal design and implementation. Implementation of designs in collaboration with other subject matter experts.
Troubleshooting and integrating new features.
Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
Educate staff members through training and individual support.
Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years of experience
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree and applicable experience within Information/Computer systems with focus on Qualification of R&D applications
Good technical knowledge in core technologies and platforms such as Java, Citrix, Windows, Linux, Scripting, Java, XML, HTML, Oracle SQL & PL/SQL and different Web/ Application server IIS, APACHE/Tomcat etc.
Working knowledge on tools/applications like Clinical Data Management, Clinical system Interface, Data model’s in clinical data base.
Experience in the biotechnology / pharmaceutical or related industry implementing and validating computer systems that manage regulated information
Working knowledge of IT infrastructure qualification processes and IT operating procedures
Knowledgeable in 21 CFR Part 11, GCP and GLP regulations
Thoroughly familiar with Quality & GxP IT compliance requirements
Ability to familiarize himself / herself independently with entirely new subjects and thus provide comprehensive and innovative solutions
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Working knowledge of information security and best practices
