Tradeshow sees a 33% jump in visitor numbers to over 7,000.

This year’s Windows, Doors & Facades Event welcomed a record-breaking attendance and saw a number of deals signed onsite that underlined the industry’s positive momentum.

Hosting over 160 exhibitors from 13 countries, the region’s largest dedicated platform attracted more than 7,000 visitors, an impressive 33% rise compared to the previous edition.

“This is the second year we participated at Windows, Doors & Facades Event, and the huge number of visitors we received at our stand certainly exceeded our expectations,” said Aws Saleh, country manager at Reynaers Middle East.

With over 11,000 new construction projects unfolding in the GCC in 2017, 45% of which are underway in the UAE only according to BNC Construction Intelligence, building products are in high demand.

Mohamad Sabeh, technical director at Gutmann Middle East LLC, explains: “The construction market is currently doing very well in the region and especially in the UAE, as investments in both residential and commercial buildings are increasing. The success of the Windows, Doors & Facades Event indicates that this positive growth will maintain its momentum over the next years.”

Vasiliki Kakari, general manager of ESC Aluminium Systems, confirms the optimistic outlook for the industry: “A lot of projects are underway in the region, and many more are expected to come with the EXPO 2020 Dubai being not that far away.”

After a very successful experience at this year’s exhibition, ESC Aluminium Systems announced its participation at the next edition of Windows, Doors & Facades Event in 2018.

“We received a lot of interest from professionals from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia at the event, and we even managed to sign seven projects: one in Kuwait, and six in the United Arab Emirates,” Kakari added.

The company, which showcased its curtain wall systems, sliding systems, and hinged systems at the exhibition, “established strong relations with aluminum fabricators and developers that want to use our systems on future projects.”

Exhibiting company Tecfire, a leader in Glass Protection Engineering, has also confirmed its return at Windows, Doors & Facades Event in 2018, having welcomed 400 visitors to their stand during this past edition of the show.

Announcing the dates of the 2018 edition of the tradeshow, which will run from 23 to 25 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Event Director, Rebecca Lockwood, said: “The impressive increase in visitors’ attendance, as well as the many deals signed by exhibiting companies during the three days of the event clearly demonstrates the demand for windows, doors & facades products in the region, and a dedicated show for this exciting sector.”

Bringing together global and regional developers, investors, consultants, architects, contractors and distributors, the Windows, Doors & Facades Event 2017 hosted representatives from key industry stakeholder groups including Gutmann, Diamond Sponsor, Alumil, Platinum Sponsor, Reynaers, Executive Associate Partner and Founding Partners Schüco, Elumatec, Cladtech International, and Orgadata.

Alongside the exhibition, the Windows, Doors & Facades Event 2017 featured the “Middle East Facades Summit”, a high-level conference that attracted hundreds of delegates hosting a series of keynotes on industry topics, including Fire Safety and Building Design.

The region’s only dedicated platform for global consultants, manufacturers and distributors of window, door & facade products, also provided over 20 free to attend and CPD-certified educational workshops, while exhibitors showcased over 1,500 innovative products for Middle East’s projects.

Organised by dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa, the event was co-located with The Big 5 Outdoor Design & Build Show, FM EXPO, and Gulf Glass.
