Vitro S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: VITROA), leading glass manufacturer in Mexico, reports that in the framework of events of Innovative Tijuana 2012, Vitro´s Vidrio y Cristal Plant located in the city of Mexicali, was acknowledged in the ranking of the Great Places to Work® 2012 with less than 1000 employees in the Northwestern Region.During the ceremony held at the IMAX Dome of the Tijuana Cultural Center, the Great Place to Work Institute (GPTWI) presented the recognition that places Vitro´s Vidrio y Cristal Mexicali Plant in the 9th place of the great places to work for in the Northwestern part of the country, which includes companies based in the states of Sinaloa, Durango, Chihuahua, Sonora, Baja California, and Baja California Sur.Upon receiving this award, Javier Gutiérrez López, Vitro´s Vidrio y Cristal Plant Manager stated: “For all of us who work in this plant, it is very important that an external entity and a specialist in the field, recognizes us among the best companies to work for, confirming the results we have achieved in our internal assessments of Quality of Life at Work, which motivates us to strengthen our commitment to move forward on human nature, work environment, safety, and teamwork issues”.He added: “This achievement is a reflection of the excellent work environment in our facilities, which was confirmed through the surveys the Great Place to Work Institute applied amongst our staff.
