Visteon Supply Chain Directors to Speak at Autologistics Asia Conference in Shanghai

Two supply chain directors from Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) will speak on global supply chain challenges and opportunities at the Autologistics Asia 2004 Conference May 19-20, 2004, in Shanghai, China.

Mika Mostert, Visteon's director of Asia Pacific Materials Management, and Anton Liu, director of Procurement & Supply for YanFeng Visteon (a 50/50 joint venture with Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation in Shanghai), will present Visteon's view on several areas of supply chain management including: evaluating the impact of sourcing, managing the demands of local and international growth, coping with underdeveloped service providers, coordinating changing transport networks, and the packaging demands of a rapidly expanding market.China is the fastest growing automotive market in the world, providing both opportunities and challenges for automakers and suppliers.Mostert and Liu will discuss culture and infrastructure in China, logistics and supply chain strategies, and innovative approaches to maximizing opportunities in the marketplace.

Mostert is responsible for Visteon's management of the complete supply chain in the Asia Pacific region. This role includes leading Visteon's material planning, logistics planning and operations procurement. On a regional level, Mostert works closely with Visteon's Asia Pacific Commodity Sourcing Office in Shanghai to help develop and refine commodity sourcing strategies for the region.

Liu oversees the purchase and delivery of materials (both from global and local sources) for the YanFeng Visteon partnership in Shanghai, China. In this role, he leads a team of more than 60 procurement professionals that manages procurement for the automotive trim business.
