Maples will be charged with leading Visteon's ongoing commitment to improve quality and build strong, collaborative partnerships with suppliers. As part of Visteon's centralization process, the quality and purchasing operations will be merged to enable the company to better leverage its annual purchasing efforts, while helping to reduce costs and improve quality.

Maples' most recent position was Executive Vice President of Business Services for MSX International, a position he held since May 2000. In this role, Maples was responsible for managing the company's quality relationship management, supply chain, human capital and custom communication services.
Maples served as Vice President of Operations at DaimlerChrysler Corporation in Auburn Hills, Mich. During his more than 17-year-career with the automaker Maples held a variety of positions including: operations, supplier management, procurement strategy and administration, and sales and planning. From November 1997 to January 1999, he served as Vice President of Supplier Management where Maples launched the successful SCORE program, which resulted in significant savings for the automaker and its suppliers.
Maples began his career as a Senior Accountant at Price Waterhouse in Detroit, Mich., and was a registered certified public accountant.
Maples holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Yale University and a Master's Degree in business administration from The University of Michigan.
