Schramm will lead product development and product line business strategy and operations for Visteon's Climate group.He will draw on those capabilities to leverage Visteon's global scope and scale to commercialize new and emerging technologies, to direct investments in technology and manufacturing, to forge the necessary alliances and partnerships and to improve overall value chain management.
Schramm recently served as vice president, North America, of Behr America Inc., an automotive supplier specializing in vehicle air conditioning and engine cooling. Prior to that, he was president of Valeo Climate Control Corp., where he had full profit and loss responsibility for all operating aspects of the North America systems activity.
From 1985 to 2000, Schramm worked at Robert Bosch GmbH in Germany, where he served in various roles ranging from director of research and development for suspension control systems, to plant manager for ABS hydraulic units, and then vice president of air braking systems and engine cooling/HVAC components.
Schramm holds a mechanical engineering degree and a doctorate in engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.
